
Pulpo a la Gallega: Galician-Style Octopus

This simple yet flavorful dish from Galicia features tender octopus, olive oil, smoked paprika, and potatoes.
Ingredients (Serves 4)
- 1kg octopus, cleaned (available in our store)
- 4 potatoes, peeled and sliced
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (available in our store)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (available in our store)
- Coarse salt to taste
Instructions
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil.
- "Scare" the octopus by dipping it into the boiling water three times before fully submerging it. Cook for 45-50 minutes.
- In another pot, boil the potatoes until tender.
- Slice the octopus into rounds and place over the potatoes.
- Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with smoked paprika, and add a pinch of coarse salt.
- Serve warm with crusty bread.
