
Albóndigas en Salsa Española: Traditional Spanish Meatballs

Spanish albóndigas are tender meatballs served in a rich tomato and white wine sauce—a perfect comfort dish!
Ingredients (Serves 4-6)
For the meatballs:
- 500g ground beef and pork mix
- 1 egg
- 50g breadcrumbs
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil (available in our store)
For the sauce:
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp flour
- 200ml white wine
- 400ml tomato sauce (available in our store)
- 200ml chicken broth
- 1 tsp sweet paprika (available in our store)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the meatballs: Mix all meatball ingredients in a bowl and form small balls.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and brown the meatballs. Remove and set aside.
- Make the sauce: In the same pan, sauté onion and garlic until soft. Stir in flour and cook for 1 minute.
- Add white wine and let it reduce. Then, pour in tomato sauce, chicken broth, and paprika.
- Return the meatballs to the pan and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Serve hot with bread or rice.
