When people talk about Navarra, they inevitably think of San Fermín. However, beyond the famous running of the bulls, this festival has much more to offer:
El Chupinazo
The explosion of joy that marks the beginning of the festivities every July 6, congregating thousands of people in Pamplona's City Hall Square.
Las Comparsas de Gigantes y Cabezudos
A traditional parade that fills the streets with giant and colorful figures, accompanied by music and dances.
The Txupinazo
A spontaneous event in which participants make as much noise as possible with drums and metal objects, filling the old quarter with vibration.
Las Peñas
Festive groups that liven up the streets and bullfights with chants and banners.
El Pobre de Mí (Poor of me celebration)
On July 14, the festivities conclude with this emotional act in which the people of Pamplona bid farewell to San Fermín until next year.
San Fermín is much more than running of the bulls and bullfights; it is a festival full of tradition, culture and emotion that unites locals and visitors in a unique celebration.
